Teen Cthulhu

Amerikanische Black Metal/Metalcore/Hardcore-Formation, gegründet 1998 in Seattle, Washington, von TJ Cowgill (vcl, g), Dustin Brown (g), Calvin "Hank" Guthrie (key), Brandon Nakamura (e-b, vcl) und Travis Nakamura (dm). Mit "Simple Elegance" (1999) legte die Band als erstes eine Full-Length-Aufnahme vor und zwar in Form einer labellosen CD-R.

"When Flesh Becomes Scabbard" (Tin The Herd, 2001) war zwei Jahre später eine 7"-EP und "Ride the Blade" (Rage of Achilles, 2003) ein zweites Album. Dazwischen waren Split-Aufnahmen mit Akimbo, Hollywood Mike Miranda, Iron Lung, Wormwood und Cream Abdul Babar erschienen. 2003 löste sich die Band auf.

 

Cowgill und Guthrie gründeten danach mit anderen Musikern Book of Black Earth.                                                                       10/24
